Deep Sea Fishing

You don't realize how small a 25 foot boat is until you are out at sea and land is no longer visible. This weekend I took up an offer to go deep sea fishing, it was great although we didn't get any big fish  they just weren't biting. We did manage to get some smaller Trigger fish and one little Barracuda. I don't have photo's of them as I was a little queasy at that point and had to lay down for a while. ( Go figure the kid from the prairies that has never lost site of land getting sea sick) But all in all it was great fun. I was soon back up to good spirits after a little nap.  We went trolling out to a place called twelve mile banks and lost site of land at that point. Out there you quickly realize how beautiful and lonely the ocean is and why they call it the deep blue sea. The color of the water is a almost cobalt blue.  The fishing trip lasted the whole day and the crew cooked us up some of the trigger fish that we caught for lunch. At the end of the day I was pretty tired from holding on to the boat and the water was real calm for the ocean, but the boat still moved a fair bit. Well one more adventure done and looking for the next.
